Electrodeposition of Ni nanoparticles from deep eutectic solvent and aqueous solution promoting high stability electrocatalyst for hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions

Abstract Nanostructured Ni films were synthesized from two distinct baths and assessed as electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) oxygen (OER) in 1 M KOH. Herein, was electrodeposited separate solvents, the aqueous acetate buffer ethaline solvent a kind of deep eutectic solvents (DESs), both deposited investigated HER OER. The electrodeposition parameters such pH deposition potential studied. process performed using chronoamperometry technique deposits characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission (TEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), diffraction (XRD). Fabricated Ni@PGE deposit only requires an overpotential ? 154 mV 350 to achieve current density 10 mA cm ?2 OER, respectively. While, 164 400 produce Graphical abstract
